i'm eternally amazed that educated people don't know the difference between written and spoken english, as we addressed this subject my freshman year of high school

"where you're at" and "where we're at" is simple, colloquial english that is easily understood

it is pompous and, frankly, bogus to use ten syllables where three will do just to pretend you're better than the other guy

born to wealth, your client doesn't need to put on airs, he is secure and doesn't have to speak like an eighth grade english teacher who is forever aware of her lack of social status

it's like people who say "utilize" instead of "use," i hate to tell you, but i know exactly where they're at -- head up their fundament, that's where

your client may be easy to hate for a variety of reasons but using this phrase is not a very good one
