hitters for the rockies have numbers "elevated by altitude," so they get dissed and dissed and dissed in post-season awards.

Well, it turns out it wasn't the altitude at all. It was the (lack of) humidity and the vast expanses of outfield at Coors Field. Since the installation of the humidor for storing game balls at average sea level humidity, Coors is about an average homer park. The park in Phillie, OTOH, is a homerun derby joke of a hitter's park. It makes Fenway or Wrigley look like the Vet. With any other team, Rollins would hit about .260 with maybe 12 homers. He is undoubtedly one of the two or three most overrated players in all of baseball. But instead of intelligent people noting the obvious bogosity of his offensive stats, he's actually being mentioned in the same breath with an utter hitting stud like Holliday as MVP? BS I say.

Matt Holliday is the fiercest hitter and the most valuable player in all the NL.
