Tovah was sleeping on the bed, our 5yr old greyhound - Mint hops up on the bed too and settles right down.

At one point Mint leans over and starts sniffing Tovah. Tovah slightly opens one eye and gives out a very quiet Grrrrrr.... Mint jerks back and looks at us as if to say "whadda I do?"

meanwhile - Tovah is one smart puppy. We started working with her on sit and down and she's catching on already. She's doing fairly well on "come", but only in the house. We haven't pushed that command outside as of yet because we want her to get use to being on a leash (she doesn't like it but she's only been exposed to being leashed for 1 day - can't expect miracles). Tonight we'll take her to the run, and armed with some treats start working on that command.

on edit: regarding house training, we are using the glued-to-hip method. Working good, no "accidents" in the house, but it's only been around 1 1/2 days. again - we are not expecting miracles, started this morning with the "gotta go out" cue, snap on her leash and out the door followed by oodles of praise for doing her business...
