Venae Cavae vein damaged, intestines resectioned, temporary nerve damage to my lower right leg. I got very lucky, as I was being wheeled in to the ER a surgeon that saw extensive service in Vietnam was finishing an operation in that hospital (This happened in 1974 when I was 15). I'll never forget my Mom's face as she left the room and a priest entered to give me last rites.
