41. It's a particular pet peeve of mine as well.
Last June, for my daughter, I had an "elementary school graduation party" and invited many kids. Of course we had those who nevered bothered to respond and didn't come and those who never bothered to respond and did come. I ended up with way to much food since I had to plan "just in case".
I respond timely to everything whether it's a formal wedding or a bowling party for seven year olds.
Many things I assume "no kids", but sometimes if there's a question, I'll check. I don't like to bring my children when they are not welcome (and sometimes it's not to get out without them anyway). I think once I had to turn down a wedding because of that, but only because I had a 5 week old which is a little soon to leave them.
