125. What makes BSG so good
is that it is a commentary only on the universe Moore and the other writers have created.

But they've made that universe, that setting so realistic, human and relevant that it acts as a mirror for the audience. But it's a mirror that reflects based on what is in the viewer's mind. There's lots there that can be compared to current events in the US or in the world in general and there's lots there that be be compared to historical events.

Of course the writers have their own human biases and those will creep in but the reason the show appears to be such a good mirror for real human life is that it is made to stand on it's own as a real human situation.
