I was hoping this year would be different from my last 6 years of being alone. This year, I look better and feel better about myself than I have in many, many years. I had hoped that my new found love of life and new svelt form my attract someone who might find me fun to be around. Alas, it is not to be. As each year passes, and as my son grows to the age where he will leave for college, and someday marry, I feel doomed to always spend New Years all by myself. Frankly, I'm pretty sick of it.

I'm trying to keep a positive attitude, but I'm losing faith.
