always get seats for ridiculously cheap fare. The good hotels are expensive and so is the food since they have to ship almost everything in.

OIon the Big Island I would recommend this hotel although there are many great hotels there as there are on all the islands.

I noticed on trip advisor that there were rates starting at 56 bucks which is unbelievably reasonable and way less than I paid a few years ago. I consider that the best hotel on that island (swim with dolphins, the best pools in my opinion, unbelievable grounds, go by boat between hotel buildings, etc).

And do a car ride called the "Road to Hana" on Maui (one of the great roadtrips IN THE WORLD). Trust me. I have been to Hawaii many times. You probably want to go to the state forums too and talk to the DUers in Hawaii.
