24. Okay, I'll give it a go
I'm with you on that Dennis question. I don't want to have to board up my house if I don't have to. It is a major hassle putting up the boards and taking down the boards. When I win the lotto, in addition to buying my own private island where I can have my own government, free from the evil ones (and yes, you all are invited), I am going to buy shudders for my house or better yet, a big bubble to drop over it.

My babies are coming with me when and if I head inland. Pack up the car, load the dogs up in their kennels and head north to wait. That could be what I do tomorrow evening. Wish the storm would make up its mind, but god, no Elena. That thing came at us, turned away, came back, turned away, then came back. To evacuate and prepare 3 times for one storm is annoying.

And why were people so hateful to my sweet friend, Andy. Because they could, because Andy was willing to publicly put himself out there and because he was sick. They also were jealous and terrified of the efforts of the folks on DU, the grassroots efforts that raised $50k in 12 days, it was remarkable. We scared the hell out of the evil ones. If we could do that for one of our own, if we could do that for Andy, imagine what we can do for our candidates. Look what we did when we worked together to make a difference. We scared the shit out of them and they are envious of our love for our fellow man. What we did, we did because it was right, we expected nothing in return, we just gave because it was the right thing to do. Heck that other place, the one that can't be named, has been conducting its site fundraiser for its operations for over a week now and they have only been able to raise 15k of the 66k goal. Yeah, we scare the hell out of them.

This thread puts what we did for Andy in a better perspective.

And progmom -- I am a GD regular and I know that I AM NOT better than anyone in the lounge and I know that no one in GD is better than anyone in the lounge. So don't you let that thread bother you. I am delighted that you welcomed me as a lounge lizard and I love to come here to laugh and play with you guys.

Thanks Maddy for this rant thread and thank you for reaching out to a fellow Mississippian! It's good to know there are other liberals around and better still to know that the liberal is so kind and sincere.
