it is about having holes in your life - lack of sex, lack of a life partner. (By now I have bricked those holes over, but I do not consider that to be an improvement, there is still a hole underneath all that plaster and scar tissue.) Until those are filled, any "mere friendship" with a potential sex/life partner is just recipe for heartache/trouble. It is like you are walking across a wasteland and come across a glass of water that just wants to be friends, but will not let you drink. Seems like I avoid alot of torture if I just keep walking. I do not need that kind of friend, not that there have been alot of single women who have wanted to be my friend. I am sorry if you are bothered about being desirable, but as far as I can see, it beats the alternative.
