I went to school w/ quad rubies. I always envied them. They were always the "events" people who could rush to multiple events in the same day. I got my double w/ LD and extemp (and exactly two tournaments of radio-it was a trial for the radio event. I won that event. I also did parliamentary once). Top Ten places rack up points and help earn rubies faster. I sometimes miss debate but then I think of the crap that some XTMP'ers are stuck w/ right now and I'm glad I've been out of HS for awhile.
