It would definitely start a fight with/amongst my friends.
Seriously, don't let this get out of control. The friendship is more important than who gets the wood in what condition or who borrowed who's truck. Hey, when Polly and I went to Detroit this weekend for my b'day (47, thanks), we used Andy the Right Wing Republican's $24,000 Chrysler. He asked me to get the oil changed, I didn't, and he has yet to say anything about it (I doubt he will).
Now, Andy and I will fight for hours (lord) about politics. But we never argue about stuff like money and possessions.
Cut the wood and give him some. And offer him $20 for using the truck -- I doubt he'll take it.
