7. Does it help if I am older than you and acutely aware of it?
:D

My daughter was having an argument with her father on my birthday last year (he and I are not together; she was in MN with him on my birthday, and I was here with my husband and my other two children).

She mentioned it was my birthday. He said, "Oh, she's 39." She said, "No, Dad, she's 38." He insisted that I was 39, and that I am ten years younger than he is. She insisted that I was born in 1966 and was therefore turning 38.

She was right, of course. That same visit, he wrote me a check to cover her travel expenses. He spelled my name with a K. I spell it with a C.
