I went for the special effects and action and I liked Spidey. I didn't follow the Hellboy comic but I knew a little about the story line. Perlman made the movie. His dry delivery was great. The whole bit in the museum and the Lovecraft references were cool. His makeup and special effects were awesome. The story is a mix of a lot of familiar things but they come off well. Great bad guys - Nazis & robot zombie Nazis. Humor, love, family, redemption, and saving the whole planet wrapped in one little movie.

I recommend it highly too.
