25. My first computer was an Apple II
I splurged - got TWO floppy drives. Big advantage, not only could I run the program (all 360K worth) on one floppy, I could save/use the data on the second. AND the two drives put the monitor at a convenient height.

By the time I was ready to replace the Apple II, the Macintosh was out - over $3600 without programs. Instead I bought an XT clone Packard Bell for $1500 and then found share ware programs to do what I needed - another $200-300. I did not have decent graphics, but then if I had bought the Mac, I could never have afforded to buy graphic software anyway.

I was so outraged at the jacked up price of the Macintosh and how Apple cut off clone manufacturers and outside access to code so other companies could write software for Apple products, I have never bought another Apple product since.
