26. My favorite thing about moving without a cat's permission --

They ignore all subtle hints to shove over. No matter how gently I nudge and how sweetly I say that I have to get up for just a moment they stare at me as though I am a lounge chair that has just started talking. Miraculous perhaps, but unintelligible to them. Ultimately I must use force ,meaning I carefully pick them up and deposit them gently nearby.
Then, of course, they take offense and walk away, supremely annoyed.
It isn't easy being a cat worshipper.
