10. I like Ellen a lot but this is a horrible choice.
Multiple reasons:

Ellen is nice. People like Ellen. I don't think even Fred Phelps could hate Ellen, she is just so damn likeable. So, you make her a judge and one of two things happens:

a. Because she is so nice, Ellen continues on with Paula's "You're all winners" schtick and doesn't offer any hard criticism, except unlike Paula, Ellen appears to be sober so you don't at least get the train wreck value from it.....OR....

b. Ellen has to change her attitude and give tough criticism to contestants, hence becoming less nice and thus less likeable.

Not to mention that Ellen has absolutely no connection to the music industry. She's a comedian.
