Brits, with a Scottish singer (Derek Wiliam Dick AKA Fish).

He left after this album and they soldier on making Sting-like elevator music.

Fish has a couple of solo records, they vary in quality from excellent to absolute shit.

I recommend checking around the P2P networks or online music resources for samples.

Then buy:

Script for a Jester's Tear
Fugazi
Misplaced Childhood
Clutching at Straws

then ignore everthing else they did.

they are more accessible if you listen to the albumes in reverse order. Start with Clutching at Straws and work backwards.

on edit: you can AIM me and I'll steer you towards some MP3 sources.
