Maybe if your husband met her?

The cats might be a concern...she is a terrier. Usually, the pibble learns quickly once the claws come out.

You know what's best for your family. The offer is there.

I'd also be willing to call the shelter, and as a bona fide rescue, tell them you're pulling the dog for us. Wheel greasing at its finest.
