My theory: Joe Smith let the Giants score in the top of the 12th just so the Mets could come back and beat Armando Benitez in the bottom of the 12th!!!! :P What a game...a pitcher's duel, 2 balks in one inning and not one but two home runs by Carlos Delgado (including the walk-off).
Games like that are what make baseball so great...unless of course if you are a Giants fan.
Did I mention that I love beating Benitez?
