13. Well, since you didn't ask,
I'll just tell you about my work week.

What's an SO for if not listening.
I do tend to take some time to tell the story, so just sit tight for a while.

I'm an old craftsman. I've spent thirty years making stuff out of metal.
Welding, machining, sheet metal, even some blacksmithing.
I am fortunate to be working in a shop with eight similarly talented and
experienced craftsmen. we average twenty-four years experience.
We make components for large scientific instruments.
We are collectively, a vanishing tribe.
We have a wide variety of interests outside of work.
One of us rides bicycles for many reasons.
Last year he competed in the 106 mile El Tour De Tucson.
That race is tomorrow, Sat., Nov. 18.
It's as significant to Tucson as the Gem and Mineral show.
Thursday morning, our friend and teammate R. was struck
by a truck that was travelling at forty-five miles an hour.
Severe injuries. Life threatening injuries.
Many broken bones, shattered pelvis, spine seperated from pelvis.
SHIT SHIT SHIT.

PLease be careful out there.

Light a candle for R.
and his children.

P.S. Shine, shiny side up, please.
