7. The mind boggles, doesn't it?
Imagine thinking that one could make The Haunting or Psycho better than the original, as well.

There seems to be a dearth of creativity in Hollywood. It's all bad remakes and mindless special effects extravaganzas directed at kids like my nephews (ages 11 and 14).

To see original content you have to turn to foreign films. Even the indies here have gotten into a rut, thinking that any boring story about foul-mouthed, chain-smoking lowlifes is great cinema.
