This chart compares the performance of the Kudzu Thead from inception (December 19, 2005) to close (May 31, 2006) with the performance of the S&P 500 (ex. dividends), Gold (proxy: GLD ETF), and the Lehman Bros. US Aggregate Bond Index (Proxy: AGG ETF, ex. interest). Interestingly, the return for each non-Kudzu category is roughly zero for the period (which is why their trend lines are bunched together along the X axis).

Note the significant upturn in Kudzu's fortunes in May 2006, following the drunkfest at Nancy's Whiskey Pub in Manhattan, wherein haruka3_2000 was apparently catalyzed to push Kudzu. Texanwitch followed suit shortly thereafter, proving again the remarkable power of compounding.

The return for the Kudzu thread is over 10,000 percent (Internal Rate of Return, discounted cash flow method). This should give the teeming nabobs pause.
