against "street spam." Remember all those "Work From Home" signs you used to see on all the telephone poles everywhere? Don't see any of them anymore, do you? It's because of that group I belong to.

But that group, though effective, was not the kind of community that DU is.

If someone had told me a few years ago that I'd get involved with an Internet group and end up feeling like I was part of a community, and that I'd consider many of the other people in that group to be true friends without ever having met them, I'd have dismissed the idea as lunacy.

But here I am. I like this place, and I do consider a whole bunch of these people to be friends (which is not something I say lightly or easily)...

I've gone through the separation blues. And, unlike, most fathers, I did have my son with me, so I understand more than most guys about having the primary responsibility for the kid along with the other anxieties. It ain't easy. But it isn't forever, either.

Just remember, it does get better.
