21. There is no other species tied as close to humans as dogs
Recent research indicates that they are the only species that can understand our hand gestures. That is if we point at something they can figure out what we are pointing at. Even apes and chimps get stuck at the end of our fingers when we gesture.

Dogs have evolved along side our species. They are for all practical purposes part of the tribe.

Cats.... cats are barely domesticated. And yes they would eat us if they could. And your dog would try to protect from the giant puddy tat.

I like cats but I love dogs.
