I found this through the clark blog. It led to this other persons blog. Enjoy...

On my way home from Latin I was listening to Bill O'Reilly, and he began talking about Howard Dean. Now I will admit up front that I like Bill O'Reilly. He's entertaining to listen to, and he is the most objective political talk show host out there, which probably isn't saying much. He can be rather crass, and I do disagree with him on some issues. But if he sees something wrong he'll criticize it, regardless of the party involved.

Anyways, he was criticizing Dean for his refusal to go on the tough political shows like Tim Russert, who gave him a drubbing when he had Dean on before, and O'Reilly's own Factor. Dean apparently doesn't want to do these kinds of shows because he's afraid of what the result my be. In other words, he's afraid.

But then O'Reilly started on Clark. Apparently O'Reilly hasn't been able to get in touch with the good General and get him booked on The Factor. Then O'Reilly went off and said that Clark was never going to get any votes if he refused to go on The Factor, because the voters watch The Factor. O'Reilly made his show into the determining factor in the election.

Contrary to O'Reilly's belief, the political world does not revolve around him. His show is not the determining factor for anything. Any refusal by a candidate to appear on his show does not automatically mean they have lost. It was rather amusing, and sad. But the thing is that while he said that Clark had refused, he originally said that his people couldn't get in touch with him. This isn't a refusal. How can one refuse something without being notified first?
