48. No monarchy!!!

I believe most people are against SUV's, especially as they are no where near being fuel-efficient, because they keep our necks in the yoke to King OPEC. Americans willingly bow and submit to King OPEC, our liege-lord, everytime we ante up $2.15/gallon at the pump.

If our country was able (or inclined) to bring to market an energy source that would release us from the oil-stranglehold of King OPEC, then SUV's would be no problem...

I, personally, would rather not have any reason to be any more beholden to King OPEC than we already have to be. We have no anointed kings in this country for a reason.
