5. The have the ACLU defending their constitutional rights
to free speech and free assembly. They get booed at every gay pride parade. What can I say, study after study has shown that 95-96% of pedophiles are heterosexual men, incest and pedophilia are epidemic in this culture, but bigots still want to pin what is largely THEIR disease on gays. What sets gay rights back is the assertion and the belief that sex between an adult and a minor is homosexuality rather than pedophilia. It is disgusting to me as a survivor of sexual abuse (by members of the OPPOSITE sex) as a child that the religious right continues to equate homosexuality with pedophilia, because by doing this they have betrayed literally millions and millions of children by helping this culture obfuscate its' pedophilia epidemic and blame it on gays. (This is not taking into account the damage it has done to individual gay people in terms of hate crimes and discrimination.)

Another thing that helps is the tenous nature of masculinity in this culture which makes male children victims of incest by members of the same sex prisoners of silence. They will not speak about their victimization because they think their masculinity will be called into question. These are pedophiles masquerading as homosexuals, but it's a free country and they have been challenged to the legal limit of their constitutional rights. The entity that really needs to be challenged is the church,as Sinead O'Connor tried to do 10 years ago, and look what happened to her. In fact, the assertion that gays don't want to do anything about Nambla is quite ignorant and uninformed, we simply can't . Look at the Supreme court ruling on "cyber-children" and see what a quagmire you get into when you try to challenge speech.
