19. Fuming Californian will only add one thing to this
Edited on Wed Oct-08-03 05:48 PM by Tinoire
because I am royally pissed- this seems like 2000 all over again.

A lot of people the Dems were counting on such as Labor were not energized to vote because Bustamante is not everyone's cup of tea and the DLC is royally pissing off a lot of people out here who should have voted Dem but for whatever reason were not inclined to (some even voted for ARNOLD!)

That said...

No matter how ritzy the neigbourhood, many of us vote in private homes, garages, schools... I voted at 7:55 PM on a paper ballot and there were still PLENTY of people at the polling places I passed on the way to and from the polling place... I got home at 8:02 PM only to hear that Arnold won... This made no sense to me... There's NO way, they counted all those paper ballots! No way!

I don't know how many votes in CA are taken electronically vs on paper- but this just stunk.
