19. I am not in the habit of engaging in ad hominem attacks without at least
some analysis. Unlike some on DU, I am not entirely anti-war, and agree with Galloway on the Palestinian issue, his stance against the Iraq war under Bush Sr., and Bush the lesser. Hitchens, in my humble opinion, has lost all credibility since he refuses to critically analyze the issues on the Iraq war, not just because he happens to have an opinion contrary to mine, but because I know he is NOT a stupid man. He has hitched his ideaological wagon to a corrupt policy and a corrupt regime, and that makes him a slug. Galloway's stance has never changed, he is against empire in any form, does not support foreign policies based on "lucrative arrangements" between governments, and has always been outspoken to the point of rude (at times). Many other reporters have been to Iraq and did not see the same glowing portrait Hitchens paints. Popinjay, I'm not sure, slug, definately!
