The only thing that is "fishy" about this story is the notion that His Chimperial Highness only just recently fell off the wagon.

More evidence: jeez -- just look at the guy's face! That is NOT normal aging, even for someone stupid enough to court sun damage to their skin. The blotchiness makes me wonder -- along with all of the other details you mention.

The other bit of fishyness is the notion that Laura is going to set him straight, somehow. I personally believe Laura's booze consumption has decreased considerably in the last year - she has lost a significant amount of weight and is no longer as bloated as we used to know her (although I think she also had a bit of nip tuck), but that may be because she's upped her trankie intake.

George is a bully, and he will bully his wife in order to keep drinking, and if Laura doesn't like it, she will be in trouble, because she's not a Bush and they are.
