to develop a genuine understanding of the debacle in New Orleans as an especially horrific expression of class warfare -- and thus of the extent to which Bush and the oligarchy he serves have ironically re-animated Marxism: especially as a vehicle by which discover the historical truth of class-struggle and thus comprehend what is being done not only to the people of New Orleans but to all of us who are not plutocrats. Is it possible that this evolving Marxist consciousness (and not a couple of paranoid mutterings about "weather control") was the real motive behind the apparently pivotal belittlement of DU by The New York Times? Just asking...
