She never once spoke disparagingly of others, or discussed her religion in any way. She viewed it as a private matter, and expressed it only by feeding tramps sandwiches from the back porch. For her, it was all about unconditional love. She's the only reason I would even consider Christianity as a positive thing. Most of my contact with it has been very, very weird. Primarily mental illness expressed as religious zeal. I like the ideas of Christ very much, and I've studied religious history extensively -- but the current crop of Nazis wrapping themselves in the flag and ignoring the most basic principles of their professed creed to undermine a great democracy is pathetic and sick.
