Why the Rove case is Pertinent to Robert's Selection

The Valerie Wilson scandal case goes to the heart of the matter of trust. Should we trust GW Bush? Should we trust a man who appointed someone in his administration who revealed the identity of a National Security Asset? Even if Karl Rove did not do it 'intentionally', which I do not believe to be the case, he exercised extreme bad judgment when talking to Matt Cooper - bad judgment which had a chilling effect on our Nation's security.

GW Bush has shown in more than one instance his judgment of character is suspect. Rove; Donald Rumsfeld, perhaps one of the most incompetent SOD's this nation has ever had; Condeleeza Rice, whose lackadaisical attitude toward terrorism in the summer 2001 contributed to the worst tragedy this nation has ever suffered; Ken Lay...the list goes on and on.

Why should we as a Nation trust a man who has such a poor track record in the area of appointees? Why should we roll over and let this President pick a Supreme Court Justice who perhaps will sit in judgment over this Nations policies for the better part of a generation?

The Rove scandal shows we cannot. It must be pursued with vigor. We must investigate this nominee with a powerful magnifying glass; find the potential weaknesses that GW Bush cannot see. It all ties together. DSM, Rove, Rogers...all are aspects of the failure of judgment that permeates the GW Bush administration.
