13. Permanent help is better for business
Some teens only work during the summer and all must cut their hours whn school is back in session. Managers would rather hire and train people who will be there for a while. In a good economy, the recent college graduate wouldn't be there any longer than the summer only work teen because the college graduate would find a career track job within a few months. With how things are, the college graduate might be staying for the forseeable future.
