going here in Georgia. Ralph Reed (former Christian Coalition chair) wants to be our next Lt. Governor. Problem is, Reed led his vociferous anti-gambling campaign with, you guessed it, gambling money from the Choctaw Indians.
And claimed ignorance as his defense. Only...his very specific (and very un-Christian) emails have him nailed. Along with Jack Abramnoff, Reed setup a dummy co. to launder the money -- a yoga instructor and lifeguard, no less. And the lifeguard had the morals to sense what he was into and bail.
So. If the conservatives who claim Christian values truly believe, they'll bail on Reed, too.
If not, we know that the Christian conservative veneer is just that -- a pretense. With no real meaning.
Should be interesting.
Oh, Zell's on board with Reed.
