are two sides of the same coin that that these communities are coming together to get 2 million 18-30 voters (redneck or ghetto, it does not matter) to cash in, in 2004

this is grassroots voting drive at its finest, using the entertainers (Jay-Z and 50 Cent, for example, whom Russ Simmons correctly points out are "leaders more so than politicians" to get these untapped young people not only to register to vote, but to make sure they exercise that option

Rep. Conyers showed up at this meeting at the National Press Club, presumably endorsing this

this is an important event and should and will be promoted

again, as Russ Simmons says, these two entertainment communities have a lot of money, and what they're doing is pooling it

this is good news, inspiring and optimistic
