24. I'm afraid "we" are NOT losing Iraq ...
Edited on Mon May-23-05 06:23 PM by welshTerrier2
well, to be more specific, bush is NOT losing Iraq ...

how can this be you ask? clearly the insurgency is out of control ... clearly democracy is nothing but a sham ... clearly there has been no reconstruction and the Iraqi people are suffering and dying ...

so, what's your problem, dude ???

well, the problem is that those who measure whether bush is winning or losing using the above metrics don't understand what bush is trying to accomplish ... frankly, too many elected Democrats don't seem to get it either ... bush is NOT trying to crush the insurgency anytime soon ... he is perfectly happy to let the instability continue for now ... got that ??? so don't measure how "we" are doing by looking at the current situation in military terms ...

bush wants to occupy Iraq ... period ... guess what he's doing right now? guess what he's been doing with the full blessing of most Senate Democrats for more than two years now? guess what he'll be doing a year from now? got that ?????

do you see the Iraqi government demanding we leave? NO !! ... do you see real Iraqis in charge of the Oil Ministry? NO !!! Chalabi, the American puppet, has been installed there ...

the only piece of the bush strategy that failed in Iraq was the election of Jafaari as Prime Minister ... bush wanted Alawi so that he could control government operations ... oops ... blew that one ... but no problem ... things will just take longer now, that's all ... that's why the insurgency is not a problem for bush right now ... it lends credibility to US occupation ... Iraq is being starved ... Iraq has ZERO fresh drinking water and many have died from dysentery ... Iraq has no jobs and no national revenue ... Jafaari's government will eventually be forced to borrow from the World Bank and will be blackmailed into compliance with US objectives because they will be unable to repay their loans ... and guess who is in charge at the World Bank? Yup ... another bush puppet ... it's good old Wolfowitz ... got that ???

Iraq is coming along just fine if you don't give a damn about the Iraqi people or the expendable American soldier pawns stationed over there ... and it's coming along just fine if you believe the purpose of the American government and the American military is to pave a path for greedy corporate swine and land-grabbing imperialists ...

if you answered this question already and said that "we" are losing the "war", you might reconsider just who this "we" is and exactly what "we" are trying to accomplish over there ... if you believe bush is trying to stabilize Iraq and has failed, you may not be seeing the big picture ...
