what tipped things over by itself. It is a rather subtle distinction for the masses I would surmise. Maybe the env't was just right to blow up anyway and this was the spark. Could have been anything, but this did it.
Unfortunately, given our govt's history of agitation, my conspiracy head allows me to think that this was a scenario the Admin. was waiting to unfold. Feed false info. to a pre-established 'source' to the media when things are getting tough and a distraction is needed . . . a few well placed CIA operatives push that info. with folks ready to go off for a variety of other reasons anyway . . .wait for the excrement to meet the fan . . . blame the media for their murderous indifference to the truth.
