And frankly, much as it pains me, I really do believe slightly more than half of the country did support Bush.

Get thee to the 2004 Election Forum and read. There is no way in the world more than half of this country supported bush. It pains me that a longtime poster such as yourself would be uninformed on this, one of the most important issues facing our country today.

I cannot and never will be as "easygoing" as you two are about accepting bush as the president. Your line of reasoning about the Democrats accepting him without a fight does not impress me as an argument. In fact, that is what we teachers of critical thinking call a straw man; has nothing to do with anything. The poster made a point about repeating the lie. What you've done is adjusted the parameters so Democrats can repeat the lie ("tacit acceptance"). Not falling for it, nor should anyone.

Shame on anyone who thinks this issue is "small potatoes."
