It should be something that all parents, teachers, and educators talk to children about as they are growing up. It isn't. The same parents who are afraid that children will become sexually active at a young age if you give them information are afraid that their kids will 'try' homosexuality if they know about it.

As if sexuality were something purely social and non-biological...

People who know nothing at all about homosexuality are going to be more vulnerable to believing negative things that they hear. They are less willing to get to know someone who is gay and find out first hand that they are utterly normal people.

What starts out as simple ignorance grows up into willful ignorance, misinformation, and lies.
