What does this really mean? It means 60% of Americans do not care about people dying and being maimed. Don't matter if they are Americans, Iraqis, or who ever is doing the dying. As long as it is not them that is. 60% of Americans could give two shits if they were lied to about the reasons we invaded Iraq. Or if Iraq did or didn't have WMD's. They just don't care. I don't like this. But I am afraid we are never going to change that. No matter what we say or do.

So what are people really concerned with then? People are worried if they will have a job to provide a roof over their head and food to eat, and a warm place to sleep. That is what matters to them. It has come down to the basics of life. The rest is just meaningless window dressing to them. And they really don't even want to hear about it.

I have changed my attitude on the the best way to defeat Bush next year. And war and terrorism is no longer my top concern because death and destrucion will not do it. The economy is number one. The rest is just a distraction to get peoples minds off of what is really important to them. This is the truth. Sad, but true. If you don't believe me, look at all of the polls and see what peoples number one concern is and you will see that it is jobs and the economy. Everyone of them shows this. And we can't keep ignoring that fact.
