I think the only reason they did this was because its seen as a quick fix for the gas prices. Hawaiian gas is at 2.44 now, highest in the nation. thats no coincidence.

Also, seeing as to how the alaskan representative himself has been fighting to drill in his own territory, i think the senators from hawaii would be fine with drilling in waikiki if it brought them huge revenue.

i agree we need to rid ourselves of sellouts, especially that capital loser lieberman, but also we need to find out what specifically makes people such assholes about one particular issue. those senators, and landrieu, have fought for some very good things.
