(from the Washington Post article)
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A12450-2005Jan15.html

"President Bush said the public's decision to reelect him was a ratification of his approach toward Iraq and that there was no reason to hold any administration officials accountable for mistakes or misjudgments in prewar planning or managing the violent aftermath. ...
"We had an accountability moment, and that's called the 2004 elections," Bush said in an interview with The Washington Post."

Hmmmm.... so, should I file this one under "stupidity," "naivete," "ignorance" or "arrogance," or should I just create a new file called "all of the above?"

Can someone please explain to Mr. B that AS LONG AS HE REMAINS COMMANDER IN CHIEF, he is DAMN WELL ACCOUNTABLE FOR HIS OWN DECISIONS AND ACTIONS. There is NOBODY ELSE WHO IS GOING TO ACCEPT ACCOUNTABILITY, so it automatically falls to him. There's something Reaganesque about this... remember all those "I can't remember" excuses?
