27. Americans could send Canadian real estate prices way up

Remember what the Californians did to Washington, Oregon, and Nevada real estate prices when they started buying? It doesn't take much to upset the supply and demand balance.

I've read about many Northeastern US residents buying up property in Eastern Canada, and many others are buying property across Canada as vacation/ escape/ survival investments. Americans aren't waiting for Permanent Residence status, either.
