Buchanan, Hoover, Nixon, A. Johnson, Polk, Grant - all bad adminstrations for various reasons, but the Bush adminstration seems to have combined the worst qualities of all of them. Corruption, secrecy, divisiveness, war, law-breaking, Constitution threatening, fear mongering - it just goes on and on. Amazingly bad presidency by any measure, and it could well be the worst ever. We haven't seen anything like the Great depression or the Civil War yet on his watch, but at the beginnings the adminstrations of Buchanan or Hoover we had yet to see the full effects of their bumbling, either.

This is certainly the most vindictive and aggressively destructive adminstration ever, so whatver mess they make they are MIHOP while previous bad adminstrations were mostly LIHOP at the worst.
