2. It seems to me
(and this may come across as quite callous, I am sorry if it does) that he is blaming the Columbine tragedy on people not being Christian, and on not allowing prayer in schools. To me, this smacks of "you cannot be humane and decent if you are not Christian". While I feel that there is a lot to be gained by most people in having some sort of spiritual beliefs, I also don't believe that allowing public schools to promote Christianity, and steering our government toward theocracy, are the answers to the violence that we see.
