3. The more Bush falls now, the less likely a Kerry-McCain ticket.
This ticket would have appeal to JK and his advisers ONLY if it were the ONLY way to be sure of beating Bush. It would involve enormous unforseen risks, and it would be, of course, historic. But it would virtually GUARANTEE that Kerry-McCain would win the election.

The more Bush sinks in the polls, however, the less Kerry will feel compelled to take such extreme measures to guarantee a victory.
