As to what we can/will do - it is up to each individual to do what they can in their own life. That may involve group actions (e.g. protests, etc.) but more effectively will consist of personal, individual acts. We are seeing in Iraq that guerilla actions can succeed against overwhelming force, IF that force is not willing to exceed bounds of decency. I have to hope that Bush* would not actually slaughter mass numbers of Americans, but you never know.
