Reply #24: Neverending- there'll always be Muslim/Christian/Jewish extremists

I just finished a History book on the Crusades that sheds light in my mind on how long this has been going on.

Way back in the 1st Crusade, by the time the Christians got to the Holy land, more moderate Muslims had already overthrown the radical Muslims that were used as a driving reason by Pope Urban the 2nd to rally Christians to start marching years before. Though these Muslims promised everyone free access to all Christian holy sites, the Christians decided to decimate them anyways. And to throw the Jews in, some Christians saw it justifiable to fund their march by deliberately looting and butchering Jewish settlements in Rhineland along the way.

It's not going to end, it just rises and ebbs over time.
